| In my opinion, this is one of the best books of all time! The miniseries does an admirable job of staying true to Stephen King's original story. We will use this movie to study elements of literature: plot, theme, conflict, characterization, symbolism, and irony. | War of the Worlds is the original "Independence Day" by the father of sci-fi, H.G.Wells. We will be experiencing the radio version that terrorized thousands of people who didn't realize it was only a story (Can you say "gullible"?). |
