In my opinion, The Stand is one of the best books of all time! The miniseries does an admirable job of staying true to Stephen King's original story.

American literature is unlike any other in the world. We will be experiencing our unique culture by studying  the literature of Native Americans through modern day works.
The original Independence Day by the father of scifi, H.G.Wells. We will be experiencing the radio version that terrorized thousands of people who didn't realize it was only a story.
